D.L. Moody once spoke of a couple of pear trees on his property. One was beautifully shaped but never bore fruit. The other — though not nearly as attractive — bore so much fruit that its branches touched the ground. Moody’s point: “It is not how attractive we are, but how humble that matters. If we only get down low enough, … God will use every one of us to his glory.”
Certainly, no one ever humbled himself more than Christ Jesus Himself. He left for a time privileges He had from eternity past—and left for you a pattern of humility to strive for. Join John MacArthur for a compelling look at Christ Humbled, Christ Exalted.
